Max Verstappen of Red Bull clinched a commanding victory at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, while British newcomer Oliver Bearman secured a notable seventh place finish in his debut race for Ferrari.

Verstappen's triumph marked his second consecutive win of the 2024 season and extended his remarkable streak to nine consecutive victories since September.

Leading his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez to a dominant one-two finish, Verstappen showcased his undeniable dominance over the Formula 1 grid for nearly two years now.

Charles Leclerc of Ferrari claimed the third spot on the podium.

Bearman, stepping in for Carlos Sainz following the latter's appendectomy, made history at just 18 years old as the youngest British driver in F1 history and the third youngest overall. Displaying impressive maturity, Bearman successfully held off challenges from McLaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who attempted a late charge on fresh tires following an early safety car period triggered by Lance Stroll's crash.

Despite starting from 11th position and initially dropping to 12th after the safety car, Bearman showcased his potential by overtaking rivals and capitalizing on strategic decisions, ultimately securing a commendable seventh-place finish.

His remarkable debut earned him the title of "driver of the day" in the fan vote, with teammate Leclerc acknowledging his outstanding performance and predicting a bright future ahead.

Verstappen's commanding lead in the championship standings, already 15 points ahead of Perez after just two races, suggests a formidable challenge for his fourth consecutive drivers' title. Meanwhile, Ferrari's Leclerc finished a distant 11.4 seconds behind Perez, highlighting Red Bull's early-season dominance and dampening hopes for a competitive season ahead.
