On Sunday 23rd April Tottenham and Newcastle faced off, but no one could have called or seen coming the end results.
Within the first 21 minutes Newcastle managed to score 5 goals, this left fans from both sides in shock. How did Newcastle manage to score so many goals so fast, was it the Tottenham Goal keeper, was it a a new game play or sheer luck.
Tottenham’s goal keeper Hugo Lloris did not return for the second half and was replayed by Fraser Forster.
Currently after this game Newcastle is 3rd on the Premier League table with 59 Points, and Tottenham is 5th on the table with 53 points.
After the humiliating 6-1 defeat Tottenham sack interim boss Christian Stellini as Daniel Levy blasts “devastating” display and makes Ryan Mason new number one. “Christian has left his Current role along with his coaching staff” was announced on Monday.
Tottenham released this statement “Cristian stepped in at a difficult point in our season and I want to thank him for the professional manner in which he and his coaching staff have conducted themselves during such a challenging time. We wish him and his staff well.’
“Sunday’s performance against Newcastle was wholly unacceptable,’ Levy wrote in a statement on Monday night.
‘It was devastating to see. We can look at many reasons why it happened and whilst myself, the board, the coaches and players must all take collective responsibility, ultimately the responsibility is mine.”
Now Ryan Mason will take reins once again for a second time having also acted as interim head coach in 2021 following the firing of Jose Mourinho.
Do you agree with Cristian Stellini and his team being sacked ?
