In his debut Bundesliga season, Harry Kane made history by becoming the first player to score four hat-tricks. His remarkable feat helped Bayern Munich close the gap on Bayer Leverkusen to just seven points.


As Leverkusen prepared to face Wolfsburg, Bayern aimed to maintain pressure on the league leaders. They delivered with a resounding victory over Mainz, a team fighting relegation.


England's Kane, now 30 years old, netted his 30th goal in 25 Bundesliga appearances, also setting up a goal for Jamal Musiala.


Bayern, eyeing a record 12th consecutive title, face stiff competition from Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen. Despite domestic challenges, manager Thomas Tuchel remains optimistic, vowing to assert Bayern's intentions.


Their dominance was evident against Mainz. Kane opened the scoring before Leon Goretzka doubled the lead. Though Mainz pulled one back, Kane struck again. Thomas Muller and Musiala extended the lead further, with Serge Gnabry adding another.


Kane completed his hat-trick, tallying his 40th goal of the season, while Goretzka sealed the emphatic win in injury time.
